An inflatable yacht pool with net is a floating frame surrounding an open-water swimming area, with netting suspended below it. Also called a netted sea pool, it uses the surrounding seawater. A water-filled pool installed on a deck is a different product.

How Does an Anti-Jellyfish Pool Net Work?
The floating frame supports the upper edge of the net. The net panels form an enclosure below the frame, and the specified weighting or tensioning arrangement helps maintain its shape. The drawing should show the side panels, bottom panel, corners and connections.
A netted yacht pool may reduce entry by some marine organisms, depending on their size, the mesh opening and the installed enclosure. The term anti-jellyfish pool does not establish protection against every species or guarantee a sting-free swim.
Whitsunday Regional Council’s guidance on stinger nets explains that its beach enclosures do not exclude small Irukandji jellyfish. Those enclosures differ from yacht pools. This example is a reason to request evidence for the intended species and conditions, rather than treating a product label as proof.
Check whether the design has enclosed sides and a net bottom. An open-bottom enclosure and a fully netted enclosure are different specifications. Neither should be presented as a substitute for swimmer supervision or assessment of local water conditions.
Compare Mesh, Net Depth and Swimming Space
Ask each supplier to describe the same specification. Terms such as fine mesh, deep net and large pool are difficult to compare without dimensions and a drawing.

Ask how the selected net behaves under tension and how it affects water exchange, fouling and loads on its attachments. Choosing a smaller mesh opening requires evaluation of the complete assembly and its intended use.
Illustrative size check: A rectangular 4 m × 4 m frame with a uniform 0.75 m border on every side has a 2.5 m × 2.5 m opening. The opening area is 6.25 m², compared with a 16 m² outside footprint.
This is a geometry example, not a HUALE model specification or a swimmer-capacity rating. Use the approved drawing for the actual dimensions.
A net bottom is not automatically a load-bearing floor. Do not plan for guests to stand on it unless the manufacturer explicitly approves that use and provides supporting tests for the specified assembly.
Check the Frame, Deck Surface and Yacht Connection
Drop-stitch construction uses internal threads between the fabric faces to help an inflated panel maintain its shape. For a yacht pool, compare the frame geometry, specified working pressure and approved load conditions together. Thickness alone does not establish how many people may use the surrounding deck.
Review the material specification, seam process, valves and reinforcement around net fittings and connection points. Ask for a repair method and access to replacement components. Keep claims about UV exposure, saltwater resistance and service life tied to documented materials or tests.
Teak-look EVA can help match the yacht’s appearance. Its pattern does not prove slip performance. Evaluate the proposed surface in wet conditions and check its bonding, cleaning instructions and warranty coverage.
For a modular setup, confirm the approved connectors, attachment locations and layout. A D-ring on the frame does not by itself prove that any dock or yacht fitting is compatible. Keep swimming space separate from tender movements and powered water toys.

Plan Crew Handling, Deployment and Storage
A netted pool for a superyacht must fit the crew’s handling routine as well as the available water space. Request the frame weight, complete-system weight, packed dimensions and number of storage bags. Confirm which figures include the net, weights, pump and accessories.
- Before deployment: Check the operating manual, local conditions, available depth, frame and net condition, approved attachment points and entry or exit arrangements.
- Before guests enter: Verify that the net and weighting system are installed as specified. Check the enclosure for damage or gaps and keep lines clear of the swimming area.
- After use: Follow the cleaning and drying instructions. Inspect the net, fittings and surface before packing, and record damage that needs attention.
During sample evaluation, record complete deployment and recovery time, crew numbers, pump details and storage access. An inflation-only video does not show the full workload.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland’s marine-stinger guidance addresses risk communication, protective clothing and first-aid readiness for diving activities. Charter operators should also follow the guidance that applies to their actual cruising area and operation.
Compare Yacht Pool Cost and Sample Evidence
Yacht pool cost depends on frame dimensions, materials, net construction, deck coverage, connection hardware and the accessory package. For charter use, include freight, crew handling, cleaning, repairs and replacement nets in the ownership calculation. A claimed daily rental premium does not establish a reliable payback period.
Agree the sample checks before placing a production order:
- Drawing check: Confirm the outer footprint, swimming opening, net layout, installed depth and yacht attachment plan.
- Frame check: Agree pressure-retention and load checks, including test conditions and acceptance criteria.
- Net check: Confirm the measured mesh opening, panel joins, attachment security and approved use. Request evidence for any species-specific protection claim.
- Handling check: Record system weight, packed size, deployment steps and the procedure for replacing damaged parts.
A pressure-retention report concerns the inflatable frame. It does not prove jellyfish exclusion, net-bottom load capacity or suitability for every sea condition. Review those claims separately.

Does an anti-jellyfish pool prevent every jellyfish sting?
No universal protection should be assumed. Performance depends on the organism, mesh opening, enclosure layout, installation and conditions. Request evidence for the intended use and retain the operator’s supervision and local risk procedures.
What net depth should I specify for a yacht pool?
Confirm depth against the intended layout, available water depth, weighting arrangement and deployment method. Request the installed measurement on the drawing. A quoted panel length or a deeper net alone does not establish protection.
Can guests stand on the net bottom?
Only if the manufacturer explicitly approves this use for the specified net, attachments and frame, with supporting load tests and instructions. Treat an enclosure net as a barrier unless that separate use is documented.
Can a yacht pool connect to an inflatable dock?
It can when the pool, dock and connection system are designed and approved to work together. Confirm connector compatibility, attachment reinforcement and the full layout. Similar-looking fittings do not establish compatibility.
What should charter buyers send before requesting a quote?
